Our Commitment to the Community

Kennett Run Charities was founded with a strong commitment to bringing our community together while raising funds to promote the general well-being and civic betterment of the Kennett area and surrounding Chester County. Through the Kennett Run and the generosity of our participants, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners, we are proud to reinvest funds in local organizations whose programs make a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors.

Our grants are focused on supporting programs and projects that address important needs in Southern Chester County, particularly in the following areas:

• Food and/or Shelter

• Childhood and Youth Education and/or Services

Eligibility Criteria

We welcome applications from nonprofit organizations whose work aligns with our areas of focus. To be eligible for consideration, organizations must meet all of the following requirements:

• The organization’s total annual budget must be less than $1,500,000.

• Organizations may serve clients beyond Southern Chester County; however, grant funds awarded by Kennett Run Charities must be used exclusively to support programs or services within Southern Chester County.

• Proposals must be for a specific program or project.

• Grant funds cannot be used to support an organization’s general operating budget or ongoing operating expenses. Funding must be directly tied to the specific program or project outlined in the application.
